Wine and Spirits Gala Recap

          We had a blast at the Local Connections Halifax's Wine and Spirits Gala on Thursday night at the Halifax Club. In a room filled with some of the province's best craft brewers as well as The Stubborn Goat, we served up some poached swordfish "carppacio" with pickled knotweed and a winterberry vinaigrette. It was a fresh and spring focused little offering that impressed and went fast! So fast that we ran through 8 whole swordfish loins! The night was truly a who's who of the provinces best food and drink. With innovative collaborations going on between Ratinaud French Cuise and O'bladee Wine Bar and across the hall Dave Smart's Front and Central and Avondale Sky Winery the night was an all-encompassing trip around the province.
