THE BLACK BOX Challenge comes to an end!
Tuesday, February 28th will be the final night of the Black Box Challenge of our Tuesday Tasting menus. The Tasting menus themselves will continue through to the end of April.
On Saturday February 4th. Chefs Mark Gray & Step Ogilvie won the Black Box Section of the Canadian Culinary Championships in Kelowna, B.C., one of three competitions which netted them a fourth place finish with other Top Chefs from across Canada, as part of the annual Gold Medal Plates fundraiser for Canada's Olympic Athletes.
Each Tuesday prior to the #CCC2017 competition, Steph presented Mark with a Black Box of ingredients to use for that evening's tasting menu in preparation and practice for the Black Box portion of the Kelowna competition. The resulting Tasting Menus were offered as a 5-course prix-fixe for $40.
Originally, Mark & Steph were going to continue with this Black Box challenge through to the end of April, but due to several upcoming commitments like Burger Week, the development of Lunch Service and the Summer Dinner Menu at Battery Park, Mark's time has become very limited.
